Flughäfen

The DPRK maintains three civil airports accessible to foreign visitors under controlled conditions. Each airport serves a distinct function within the country's limited aviation network. Pyongyang Sunan handles all scheduled international traffic and is the only airport where regular Air Koryo services connect North Korea to China and Russia. Wonsan Kalma and Samjiyon have historically been used for charter flights and special tourism routes. All arrivals must be part of an approved tour group — independent travel to any of these airports is not permitted.
